It’s been a busy year! I would like to end by wishing everyone who visits a Happy New Year and hope that 2016 will bring plenty of opportunities to get outside and teach!
This post is about the simplicity of a mural. Sometimes less is definitely more… enjoy!
When working in the Czech Republic, after one of the training days, I was given the chance to have a quick look around the small town. One of the more rundown building caught my attention for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, one doesn’t expect to see “Marina” and a sea theme in the land-locked Czech Republic. However the building is situated beside the river, so it made sense once I had worked this out.
The bright blue and white paint used, was incredibly simple and effective. It drew your eye into following the wavy line and looking at the boats.
It reminded me that murals do not have to be all-singing, dancing affairs. Sometimes less is more.
Finally, I’ve no idea what the writing says, but there’s something rather beautiful about the font used. That’s an art form in itself.
