There is nothing like a bit of bright textile to decorate an outdoor space. At Inverallochy School one of the more recent projects is to allow children to yarn bomb the school grounds.
Any post runs a risk of being engulfed in colourful threads.
As you can see it’s not simply a case of wrapping thread around the different features outside.
A lot of the work has been done by twisting the wool to make it thicker and stronger.
In a school with a cold northern climate, it’s one way to make those metal rails feel less cold.
It’s also a great way to use up unwanted wool – put a call out to your local community.
Thanks to Eunice Stephen for supplying the 1st and 4th photos in this post. We hope you are settling into your new life in Nepal.
